These images are original photos by Dan Olawski, which are then converted to line drawings and printed out for Mikey Olawski to color in with colored pencils, crayons, markers, etc. Those versions are then scanned back into the computer and merged with the original photos in Photoshop. Dan and Mikey are father and son, respectively, who love creating (Mikey is autistic and uses art to express himself).
The Olawski Boys originally started doing these art projects to deal with, and distract themselves, from the absence of Lynne (wife, mother, respectively), who suffered a brain injury and was in hospital and rehab for many months.
